Silverwing's been hanging around for a long, long time

Silverwing may be a new name to you and if that is true, welcome, but SW has been kicking around Nevada for over 20 years.       The first time I heard SW play was in 1994. I was hanging out with my co-worker, Lauren, whose husband was the drummer. We were chillin' at the Piper's Casino in lovely downtown Silver Springs, Nevada (population, maybe 6000) There is no downtown. It's just an intersection of two highways.       But anyway, Lauren and I were people watching and supporting the band by applauding at everything they did when Mel, the lead guitar player, comes over and talks to me. Silverwing at the Knitting Factory

Lots of beautiful girls with the finest cowgirl bling and tall handsome cowboys with Stetsons. What a good looking crowd. It's easy to get complacent when you play in front of the same folks at your local hangout each month, but last night we had to step up our game.       And that we did...
