New Silverwing CD "County Line" release party
Silverwing is excited to announce the release of our newest CD "County Line." It is a follow up to our first CD "Moonshine."
"County Line" is filled with new original music written by Mel Warstler, Mary Warstler and Georgina Arze. It was recorded in our home studio, engineered by our rhythm guitarist Sean Rold and issued by CDBaby.com. Many hours were spent bringing Mel's musical ideas to life with harmonies, guitar riffs, drum rolls and hours of editing. It was a challenge, but well worth the effort.
Since the CD is dedicated to Merle Haggard, there are two Haggard covers "Silver Wings" and "Mama Tried" included on "County Line." Merle's passing inspired Mel to write "Angel Band" with his many references to classic Haggard songs. That song was the motivation to produce a full CD, so we pulled together some great ideas and went to work.
We believe that "County Line" is a great example of the diverse talent of the members of Silverwing. From Mel's incredible music and melodies to the lyrics of Georgina Arze and Mary Warstler to the engineering and attention to detail by Sean Rold and the dynamic drum work of Brandon Hooten, Michael James and Dave Block. We got the best effort from everyone.
Several songs have received a great response at NumberOneMusic, N1M Charts where "The Price He Has to Pay" was at #1 in Nevada Country Music for 5 weeks, "Give You Everything" reached #2 and "In My Dreams" is climbing the charts right now.
Since, Silverwing had a great response at home at the opening on December 1st in Fallon, now we are moving the party up the road to Mummer's Bar in Sparks, NV on January 12th. So we will have CD's, download cards and stickers, T-shirts and hats with the new logo, very cool flasks in a variety of styles, some jewelry, awesome handmade Silverwing glasses by our friend Linda Johnson owner of Jeweled Jars, keyrings and pens with the new logo.
Very excited to play our new originals to our family and friends in the Reno/Sparks area and look forward to seeing all of you on January 12th at Mummer's on Victorian Ave in Sparks.
